George Rodney hit by far the biggest air again in the qualifier but wasn’t able to land it successfully to move in to the final round. It was probably around 80 feet!  Drew Peterson and Pierce MeCrerey ended up winning their age categories, and Niki Wagner placed 4th in her first Big Mountain Competition Season!  Way to go Big Mountain Team!

Team Summit had 70 entries and there were nearly 400 athletes racing between the two days.

For the overall Team Awards – Team Summit took First Place Girls Team, Third Place Boys Team and we took Third Place combined Girls and Boys Teams.

For the overall season awards – Best 4 results for the season:

Devon Deblois won the J7 Boys overall for the season

Megan Brones won the J6 Girls overall for the season

Natalia Tatge took 2nd in the J6 girls overall for the season.

 

We had many of our athletes place top 10 in the races this past weekend and everybody skied awesome!

 

Our trophies have been added to the trophy case at the Team Summit office!

 

Congratulations Team – Awesome Job Racing, Awesome Job Coaching and Awesome job keeping a positive and fun attitude throughout the season!

Also racing will be Team Summit Alumni  Fletcher McDonald and Katie Hartman who are currently competing at the collegiate level for the University of Colorado and Mark Miller from UNM.
The best US racers including Ted Ligety, Nolan Kasper, Julia Mancuso, Mikeala Shiffrin and possibly Lindsay Vonn will be racing.
This is quite an honor and accomplishment for Nicole and Miranda to be invited to race against the best in the world.  Go Team!
