Team Summit Alpine Program

Team Summit Colorado’s Alpine program gives athletes the direction needed for them to reach their full ski racing potential. Team Summit concentrates on building the fundamental skills at all levels while progressively developing the athletes over-all understanding of race strategies and tactics required to be successful.  We utilize team and group structure, individual focus, quality facilities, and the opportunity to blend school and athletics in all of our training.  The athletes participate in a range of local competitions for our introductory athletes through US National Championships for our elite athletes. We strive to put every athlete on top of their personal podiums and help them achieve their ski racing goals.

Our programs are aligned with the “Long Term Development” of the athlete as the priority.  Alpine skiing requires time to develop the skills needed to be competitive when it matters. With this in mind, we maintain 3 core groups: Fundamental or Foundation Sport Development (Intro programs), Competition Development (Age Class), and Alpine Competition (Ability).  The Intro programs are focused on fundamental skills development and an introduction to competition skills all while having fun and developing a love for the entire mountain.  The age class program, while also development based, focuses on the technical and tactical skills required to compete and enabling these athletes to reach their peak ability and desire to compete in USSA Scored events and FIS events with the ability group. The Ability group’s focus is to develop and hone the athlete’s competitive abilities to achieve the highest level of racing they desire. Many of our ability athletes have gone on to successful collegiate careers and or US Ski Team Experiences.

Team Summit Colorado also offers a Masters program for those athletes desiring to compete in local business league or USSA masters competition. This program focuses on skill and tactical development for these athletes thus enabling them to reach their personal goals

Team Summit Colorado is able to offer training and racing on some of the best competition and free-ski terrain in the world. Headquartered in Summit County Colorado, we offer a unique four mountain training program that includes:

  • Arapahoe Basin
  • Breckenridge
  • Keystone
  • Copper Mountain

Because of the naturally long ski season of A-Basin, extended night training under the lights of Keystone, and a great relationship with the Summit School District, we can offer a variety of program options including Weekend programs, Full-Time programs, Academic Athletic programs, night training, and spring training.  Because of our dedicated staff, Team Summit offers all athletes  great training opportunities with variety not seen by other clubs in the country.

As mentioned above Team Summit is proud to offer an Academic Athletics Program in partnership with the Summit County School District. This program allows the student athlete an opportunity to blend academics while training and competing. This program offers comprehensive early season conditioning and training, full-time training and competing during the winter on-snow season and post-season on-snow training and conditioning.
