Academy Program - It's Time to Think About Next Year!

Hello Team Summit Families!  I am not only the Academy Coordinator for Team Summit but also a parent of two Alpine athletes.  I am extremely grateful for the efforts of our leadership team and coaches this year.  Although it has been hard on so many, how lucky are our kids to get to ski and snowboard this year!

Our Academy Program is our full-time ski and snowboard program, on snow 5-6 days/week.  This year our membership has seen a huge value in this program!  Our numbers are way up and families have traveled here from all over the country to participate in our full-time program through Team Summit.  The pandemic has shown all of us how creative and flexible our education can be.

Our Academy student-athletes are not only high achieving on the slopes but also in the classroom, with so many on the SMS Honor Roll and a 3.76 GPA average at SHS!  They are receiving an enriching and challenging education while pursuing their dreams on the slopes.

We are all hoping that next school year and season can look a little more normal and I have faith that it will.   I know many of you have been doing online or remote learning this year but Summit County has wonderful schools that work well with our full-time Academy program.  From our private option at The Peak School to our public schools Summit Middle, Summit High, and Snowy Peaks.  We can find the best fit for your student-athlete!  Please reach out to me via email or give me a call to discuss next year, it's never too early.  I would be so happy to visit with you about your student-athlete's education and how it fits in with our Academy Program.
