Alpine Age Class Updates - January 29th, 2021

Dear Age Class Parents, Coaches and Interested Parties:

Great news!

The U14 Super G races Feb 8-11 are confirmed! Attached is the draft race announcement submitted to US Ski and Snowboard this morning following yesterday's event approval. The Race announcement will also be published at RMD's page at US Ski and Snowboard https://usskiandsnowboard.org/sport-programs/regions-divisions/rocky-central-alpine-region/rocky-alpine-division-calendar. Event registration is now open at MyUSSA. Please review the race announcement carefully to register for the correct day based on Gender and YOB.

The Age Class U14, 12, 10 calendar on TeamSnap is current with race dates and training in preparation for these events.

The inventory of loaner skis for Super G held by Team Summit is limited. A good source to find suitable equipment for your children is Team Summit's FB Classifieds pagehttps://www.facebook.com/groups/2310929789237181/. Anyone with suitable youth Super G skis to sell or give away are invited to list them in the Classifieds.

Team Summit began working in earnest to assume the hosting responsibility for these events when Team Breck withdrew from hosting several weeks ago. Our goal in hosting is to have the opportunity for our kids to race close to home, save travel expense and compete on a familiar venue. We are still very much in need of volunteers to support this competition.  

Our ability to host any of our competitions relies heavily on volunteer support, be it a Colorado Cup, RMF Championship, U14 SG, or a Summit Foundation Cup.
