Alpine Updates - April 8th, 2020

Dear Team Summit Colorado Alpine Ability athletes, All Alpine Parents and Alpine Coaching staff:

Governor Polis has extended the stay at home order until April 26 resulting in the continuing postponement of Team Summit Alpine activities. Please see specific information about camp plans, conditioning activities and 2020-21 program plans below.

I join you in looking forward to getting over the hump and beginning a gradual return to a new normal. Whether in two weeks, two months, or longer we are preparing and adjusting our plans to resume our programs as it is safe to do so.

Aldo

Spring and Summer Camp Updates
Spring: April 24 to May 18 – Arapahoe Basin - POSTPONED
Colorado’s Stay at home order has been extended through April 26. Arapahoe Basin continues to hope to re-open https://www.arapahoebasin.com/covid-19-updates/ and we stand ready when they do.
Summer: June 6-20 – Mammoth Mountain
Mammoth Mountain recently canceled camps that were calendared through May 31 but at this time has not canceled June summer training. Our arrangements are in place pending. Alternate sites have been explored should either snow conditions in Mammoth deteriorate or if we need to move dates later on the calendar.
Late Summer: August 3-18 – Stelvio, Italy
For the moment, our plans remain in place with reservations for lodging and training space being held without risk. Alternate sites in Europe exist, as well as, domestic venues.
For more information, visit our camps page [here]
