ATHLETE OF THE MONTH – JANUARY: JEVIN PALMQUIST

Jevin has shown a continued commitment to achieving his lofty goals with dedication and effort in his prep period this fall and his hard work and determination are paying off. As this is the beginning of Jevin‘s first year of FIS racing it is especially challenging because of his start positions being determined by rankings. He is currently out performing all of his peers here in the United States in head to head racing and he has scored results at Nor-Ams and FIS races held here in the United States starting from the back of the field.
His two best current world rankings for his year of birth are 9th in slalom and 1st in super G. Jevin also demonstrates great sportsmanship and is a team leader, helping to elevate all of his teammates. He always offers to help the coaches with any tasks at training and contributes towards a positive team environment and culture.
Jevin is currently representting the United States in gangwon, Korea at the Youth Olympic Games where in the Alpine Combined he finished in 7th place. Giant Slalom and Slalom races remain.
