U16 Rocky/Central Alpine Championships

So how did we do at the U16 RC Champs?   From March 7-11, Steamboat Ski Resort and Howelsen Hill hosted the U16 Rocky/Central Alpine Championships. Top 50 women and men from the division, which includes 19 states, had to qualify in order to compete at these Championships. Team Summit was able to qualify 5 athletes and they represented themselves and their team exceptionally well. In the 10 events, they won a total of 10 medals and 6 of them were gold! March Athlete of the Month

March Athlete of the Month | Jaxon Haser – Park and Pipe/Big Mountain Jaxon Haser is Podium Sports/Team Summit's Athlete of the Month for March!  Jaxon is a Park and Pipe athlete who has participated in Big Mountain.  He is an awesome kid to be around!   Jaxon has shown amazing sportsmanship and excitement for skiing this season.  He even won the Junior Flyin' Ryan award (for sportsmanship) at the North American Championships in Big Sky!  Team Summit is so lucky to have an athlete like Jaxon on our team.  We are so proud to name him...

SYNC Series u16 Rocky/Central Junior Championship Qualifying

Last week, Vail Mountain Resort hosted the SYNC Series u16 Rocky/Central Junior Championship qualifying races.   The four-day race series brought in over 120 athletes, varied weather and lots of great ski racing, including the first races held on the new T-bar expansion hill.  Women and Men both competed in two Slalom and two Giant Slalom races over the course of week.   Team Summit Colorado athletes had a great series: Stella Buchheister came home a 4th in SL and two 4th place GS results, Niko Leunig had his first u16 victory with a 1st place in the GS race and Jevin...

  Updated COVID-19 Practice A few days ago I sent out an update to everyone at Team Summit regarding COVID and our mandatory mask policy/practice at Team Summit.   Today we received disturbing data from Summit County public health. At this time over 20% of Summit County residents have had reported cases of COVID-19 over the last few months. The FIS Mogul Team shreds Sweden

The FIS Mogul Team made a trip to Idre Fjall, Sweden this November to train and compete. This kicked off Team Summit’s competition season before the season begins here in the U.S. Athletes included Evelyn Harris, Jackson True, Justin Jachimowicz, Sophie Jachimowicz, Reese Lemnah, and 2 athletes from different Colorado clubs, Tenley Leonard of Winter Park and George McQuinn of Purgatory.
