Wow, that was an early snowfall! It got everyone buzzing for the ski season, thinking about goals, gear, and plans ahead. Along with the new snow, we have lots of positive news from the resorts as they announce their plans to deal with the pandemic. Proper movement patterns are a cornerstone of all athletic success. Remember that each time you do any athletic movement you are engraining either good movement patterns or poor movement patterns. Be sure to take the time to learn all of the Olympic Lifting patterns with just an empty bar. If an empty bar is still too much load for you to perform the movements with perfection, then use a litter bar or even a broomstick.

Greetings Freeskiers!
Wow, Summer flew by. There is already a chill in the air, the first snow on the peaks and the excitement of the season ahead. Hopefully, you are settling in to the new school "routine" and adjusting to all the changes with style and grace.
There are still many unanswered questions as to what our ski season will look like, but know that our ski area partners are still committed to our goals for training and competition. With back to school marks the end of most of our summer programming. Our Summer Programming was not just a success because we got something done with COVID restrictions, It was a success due to participation, time on snow, and new skills learned. Believe it or not, we start our winter season in 2 weeks with Academy programs on September 8th.

Team Summit has concluded a successful Mt. Hood Training Camp and returned home for the start of the school year.
