Ski Racing Devo (SRD) and Devo+ had an awesome weekend racing a full field YSL GS series at Loveland Feb 25-26. Our kids have been working hard and gaining experience!  For Saturday’s boys race, we had a lot of great race runs and some exciting top 5’s      Asher Grohmann – Oli Vachon – Luke Atwood   For U10 Boys, Park Jarjapka had an exciting day with a 2nd place finish in race 1 and winning it with a gold for race 2! U14 RMN Championships at Snow Mountain Ranch

Team summit nordic devo and prep programs had a final weekend of racing at U 14 RMN Championships at Snow Mountain Ranch. It was another great weekend of amazing skiing and racing.  On Saturday it was a classic mass start race and on Sunday we raced great at mixed relays. We had 3 podiums overall and we finished the season in 3rd in the Colorado Cup standings behind Vail and Steamboat.  See the link for the RMN overall standings below. Team summit nordic had a great weekend of racing in Aspen

Team Summit Nordic had a great weekend of racing in Aspen – it was also our last junior qualifier before heading to Fairbanks, Alaska for Junior Nationals. Nina Schamberger won both sprint and distance races and led our senior athletes to some amazing performances. Team summit qualified 9 athletes who will represent team summit and the Rocky mountain division in Alaska this March. Below are the results from the classic sprint and skate mass start. Big Mountain Skiing Update – 2/28-3/5

Just like that.. March is right around the corner.  It really does fly.  Guns remain blazing as we carry into our 5th straight week of competitions. This past week, we saw competitions at Monarch and Crystal Mountain, WA.  Emma Litwiller claimed top honors in the U12 field, with Elizabeth Drummond in 3rd.  Bodie Cagen also stood atop the podium for the U12 boys.  Jack Shelton continued his top-10 streak with a 6th.  In Washington, Maddie Haser and Hannah Webb took 1st and 3rd respectively for the 12-14 female division.  Parker Gray notched another top-10 in...

American teens bring home nine Opa Cup medals While top-level global competition is reaching the height of its season, America’s next generation has quietly been notching unprecedented international results at the OPA Cup. Six U16 racers from the Rocky Central Region qualified for the prestigious OPA Cup (formerly the Seven Nations Cup) in Germany from Jan. 28 – Feb. 6. Big Mountain Skiing Update – 2/13-2/19

Some early snowfall is coming down from these next couple of storms that are incoming.  Skiing around the county should be quite good this week and into the weekend. With the conclusion of the Copper events, we'll be shifting back to Abasin on a more permanent basis, minus the odd trainings at Breck as we approach the event over there.  Breck trainings will be optional, and will coincide with trainings at Abasin. Intro to Team Summit Feb Update – Up-Coming Summit Cups

I want to update you on our calendar for the second half of our season. After our practice this weekend, we have Presidents' weekend off. Please try to get out and ski with your athlete as often as possible so they can practice the skills they have learned.  We have two upcoming Summit Cups. Big Mountain Skiing Update – 2/6-2/12

Telluride was a completely successful start to our competition season. A total of 5 podiums, and 6 top 5s, and 17 out of 18 athletes landing their runs.  I truly could not ask for a more consistent start to our comp season.  Morgan Fields was 2nd in 15-18 female, Evan Barth was 4th 15-18 female, Hannah Webb was 1st 12-14 female, Maddie Haser was 2nd 12-14 female, Thomas Drummond was 2nd 12-14 Male, Reid Litwiller was 3rd 15-18 ski male.  Of course these were the highlights, and I cannot stress enough how happy I am with everybody's performance. Team Summit Colorado Spring and Summer youth MTB programs are now open for registration!

The Team Summit MTB program aims to provide safe, fun, and enjoyable experiences to help develop our athletes into lifelong cyclists. This year we will offer day trips, camps, skills clinics, downhill park days, and summer programming to provide a variety of benefits to athletes such as exploring new and different trails in Summit County, meeting new friends, staying in shape for skiing and snowboarding, competing in a variety of race series, and progressing on a bike over the course of a 3 season period.   Please take a look back at our team's highlight film from 2022

Nordic Update | 2/1/2023

A week with not much racing at home.
