Rules of the Sport
-Helmets must be worn whenever strapped in
-Follow the Colorado Skier Safety Act (know the code)
The rules are very open-ended in snowboarding and that’s what draws a lot of people to the sport. On Team Summit we do have a structure to our training and programming to foster the creativity of the sport. Creativity is what has lead snowboarders and snowboarding to be successful in all disciplines of snowboarding.

Please note there was a recent change to the training calendar for tomorrow Thursday the 7th. We are now training GS, not SL.
Two deadlines are looming.
1. Goal setting sheets completed and returned to coaches (Jared and Aldo for U16, Doug and Aldo for FIS.
2. Sign-up for Birds of Prey World Cup on course access. Please remember to enter a one or zero in each column!

After School Dryland Training
Team Summit is offering a new program for anyone in grades K-5. Best of all, it is FREE to attend!
The program is open to anyone! Not just those enrolled in Team Summit. So join us for a FREE after school dryland session from 3:15 pm – 4:15 pm on Mondays, Nov. 4th, 11th, and 18th.
(Please note: Upper Blue only hosts 2 sessions.)

Ski Team suddenly feels very real around here. Academy Athletes had their first day on snow on Friday,
Oct. 25th. They are in great shape from all the dryland training and already logging miles at Arapahoe Basin. The snowpack is building up quickly and we are already just a few storms away from seeing more...

Winter is here! October has been a snowy month. This week we will continue our return to snow progression. With limited terrain open, our team will look for open piste for ski drills. Friday was lots of fun, with a focus on freeskiing and navigating the small run safely. Thank you everyone for making safety a priority.
