Beckham Richmond / Park + Pipe Beckham is both a dedicated athlete and student, and he is an incredible person on and off the hill. Beckham gets to know everyone in our program across all ages and levels and demonstrates strong sportsmanship. Beckham encourages those around him, and shows support to his teammates by sometimes putting his own training aside to help his teammates with his incredible follow camera skills on the jumps. Jevin Palmquist / Alpine FIS Jevin has shown a continued commitment to achieving his lofty goals with dedication and effort in his prep period this fall and his hard work and determination are paying off. Axel Crawford / Big Mountain Axel was a transfer from the mogul program and has seamlessly transitioned into a new discipline. He was an exceptional talent in the early season dryland, and has put in excellent work into transferring the skills that he has learned into a different format.  We are extremely happy to have Axel join us, and cannot wait for his debut in freeride competition!

April Athlete of the Month – Trevor Palmquist

Trevor Palmquist, Alpine U12 + U14   He dominated the recent Rocky / Central U14 Championships in Vail. In those races, he won 4 of the 6 races (Super G, Parallel, 2XGS, 2xSL) and was 2nd in the other two. An unprecedented performance. Trevor goes about his business quietly. He is happy and relaxed in his approach. He is a great teammate sharing his thoughts on the set after inspections and coming around with course reports after his race runs. He contributes positively to his teammates and coaches through his actions and the process he exhibits.

Athlete of the Month – February – James Sowers

James has had 100% perfect attendance over the last 30 days. While he has always been a dedicated athlete, he has stepped up his commitment over the last 12 months. After attending JNs for the first time last year and while also as a SkiMeister (racing both Alpine and Nordic).  This achievement (100% attendance) is after having a serious crash on roller skis and being out for several weeks with a concussion this past fall. This set his progress back but hard work and dedication have had him steadily improve over the season moving from a mid-pack athlete barely qualifying for JNs...
