Walker Robinson named to JR World Championship Team 2023

Even though the winter sports season is slowly coming to a close in Summit County and across the U.S., the season is still going strong in terms of high-level competitions overseas.  One such competition yet to occur this winter season is the 2023 Ski Cross Junior World Championships in San Pellegrino, Italy, and Team Summit’s Walker Robinson is set to compete in the event after a breakthrough ski cross season on the Nor-Am Cup and International Ski Federation (FIS) circuit. Ski Racing Devo (SRD) and Devo+ had an awesome weekend racing a full field YSL GS series at Loveland Feb 25-26. Our kids have been working hard and gaining experience!  For Saturday’s boys race, we had a lot of great race runs and some exciting top 5’s      Asher Grohmann – Oli Vachon – Luke Atwood   For U10 Boys, Park Jarjapka had an exciting day with a 2nd place finish in race 1 and winning it with a gold for race 2! U14 RMN Championships at Snow Mountain Ranch

Team summit nordic devo and prep programs had a final weekend of racing at U 14 RMN Championships at Snow Mountain Ranch. It was another great weekend of amazing skiing and racing.  On Saturday it was a classic mass start race and on Sunday we raced great at mixed relays. We had 3 podiums overall and we finished the season in 3rd in the Colorado Cup standings behind Vail and Steamboat.  See the link for the RMN overall standings below. Team Summit Nordic had a great weekend of racing in Aspen – it was also our last junior qualifier before heading to Fairbanks, Alaska for Junior Nationals. Nina Schamberger won both sprint and distance races and led our senior athletes to some amazing performances.
