Park and Pipe Updates – Oct. 28, 2019

Mid-season evaluations are nearly complete and will be emailed in the next few days to the contacts listed for each athlete in Demosphere.

Ability Program race travel billing has been completed for December and January. Ability Coaches’ expenses are billed to the participating athletes for all away FIS and Sync races. A huge shout out to our Ability coaches who do everything they can to minimize those billable expenses by day tripping when possible and staying with friends to avoid lodging expenses whenever possible. Thank you! Please review the worksheets linked below and inform aldo@teamsummit.org of any discrepancies. These races will be billed to the athlete accounts on Tuesday Feb 4.

Thank you to all who’ve submitted registrations for the Mt. Hood and Stelvio Camps. All applications will initially be waitlisted to ensure that maximum camp numbers are not exceeded. Once the registration is shown as “Active” you may finalize any necessary family and travel plans.

The recently announced Stelvio, Italy U16 Racing Camp is now available for registration in Demosphere.Please see below for more details.

Finally, Team Summit is hosting FIS Races at Keystone this weekend. More volunteers are still being sought! Please log into the volunteer portal or contact comps@teamsummit.org to help out.

Stelvio, Italy U16 Training Camp

Targeted to U16 age (Year of birth 2010, 2011) and first time Stelvio Campers

July 12 Departure from USA

July 13 Arrival in Stelvio

July 14-22 Train (8 Days of Skiing Planned)

July 23 Departure from Milan (The departure day conincides with the arrival day for the original camp)

Please note: Athletes may have to travel as unaccompanied minors as we are unlikely to have any coaches travelling on these dates. If family trips are planned, it might be possible for volunteer parents to serve as the travel leader to link itineraries with. Families are asked to organize among themselves.

TSC Member cost excluding airfare and travel meals: $3,495

Non – Member cost excluding airfare and travel meals: $3,995

U16 athletes already accepted to the July 22 to August 5 Camp may switch to this opportunity if dates, camp length, friend plans, cost or other factors make this camp more desirable. Please contact aldo@teamsummit.org if you would like to do switch.

There may be an opportunity for FIS age athletes to add this session to lengthen their training block or to serve as a mentor. Please contact me at aldo@teamsummit.org if interested.

The maximum for this camp is set at 12 athletes.

If your waitlist registration status is “Active” the registration has been accepted and you can proceed with making your air travel arrangements. If it shows as “Waitlist” the registration remains pending acceptance or space becoming available.
