The Gravity Devo Team is a group for both middle school and high school riders who are interested in the world of downhill mountain biking and want to build on the fundamental bike handling skills learned in Team Summit Junior Devo and Devo. The overall goal of this group is to develop and enhance jumping, descending, and technical skills to make downhill riding in the backcountry infinitely more incredible! Riders will focus on downhill and enduro skill development and training for enduro and downhill races for those who are interested. Riders should expect longer miles at a high tempo over technical terrain.

Grades: Fall 2024 7th - 12th grades

Program Dates: June 8th - August 12th (9-week program. No practice July 6th and 7th)

Practices Days: 
Saturdays: 9:30 am - 1:30 pm
Sundays: 9:30 am - 1:30 pm
Practice Locations: Keystone Bike Park and Copper MTN Bike Park, along with other downhill-oriented trail rides (Frisco Adventure Park, Sidedoor, etc..)

Groups
New Enduro/Downhill Rider - Riders will learn proper basic skills for riding drops, jumps, and racing Enduro/DH. Must be able to pedal for 1.5 hrs. sustained including uphill riding.
Intermediate Enduro/Downhill Rider - Riders have previous enduro/downhill experience. Riders will refine drops, gap jumps, line selection skills, and race skills.

Advanced Enduro/Downhill Rider - For experienced riders who want to further hone their DH riding and racing skills. New Advanced applicants must have coach approval to register.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Athletes must have been through at least one season of the Team Summit Devo mountain bike program and have progressed on all black-level mountain bike skills. Athletes must be an advanced riders with the ability to ride steep terrain, drops, rock gardens, and other technical trail features with confidence.

EQUIPMENT
Each athlete must have at least a full-face helmet, enduro full-suspension mountain bike, water bottle or hydration pack, snacks, gloves, back protection, knee protection, and an extra tube.
