The Team Summit MTB program aims to provide safe, fun, and enjoyable experiences to help develop our athletes into lifelong cyclists and build skills that last a lifetime.

Program Approach

We offer day trips, camps, skills clinics, downhill park days, and summer programming for all skills levels from ages 7 – 18 to provide a variety of benefits such as exploring new and different trails in Summit County, meeting new friends, staying in shape for skiing and snowboarding, competing in a variety of race series, and progressing on a bike throughout a 3 season period. Trips

7th – 12th Grade

May 1st – 3rd

A 3-day spring riding trip designed to kick-start summer fitness while building team connection. Includes camping, meals, transportation, coaching, and classic Fruita singletrack.

  • Trip Dates: May 1st-3rd (leave TIME TBD/Pickup from Summit High/Frisco Middle School available)
  • Age / Grade Level: Current school year 7th – 12th Grade
  • Ability: Intermediate to advanced riders. Must be able to confidently ride up and down intermediate (blue) and advanced (black) single-track trails and features, and have an understanding of basic MTB fundamentals. This is NOT an intro to MTB skills trip.
  • Location: 18 Rd. North Fruita Desert.
  • Cost: Starting at $275 for the entire trip. (Transportation, camping, food, shuttling, and coaching support included)

6th – 10th Grade

April 18th

A full-day adventure focused on mileage, teamwork, and getting back into riding shape. Riders can expect 12-16 miles with breaks for lunch and group activities. For intermediate+ riders.

  • Grade Range: Current school year 6th – 10th Grade
  • Ability: Intermediate to advanced riders. Must be able to confidently ride up and down intermediate (blue) and advanced (black) single-track trails and features, and have an understanding of basic MTB fundamentals. 
  • Date: Saturday, April 18
  • Time: 7am – 5pm
  • Cost: $110

(Registration deadline is April 10th!)

6th – 10th Grade

May 16th

A spring mileage-building day trip for intermediate+ riders featuring classic Eagle trails and bike park riding. Great preparation for summer programs and longer rides ahead. Riders can expect 12-16 miles with breaks for lunch and group activities.

    • Grade Range: Current school year 6th – 10th Grade
    • Ability: Intermediate to advanced riders. Must be able to confidently ride up and down intermediate (blue) and advanced (black) single-track trails and features, and have an understanding of basic MTB fundamentals. 
  • Date: Saturday, May 16th
  • Time: 7am – 5pm
  • Cost: $110

Ages: 10-15

The Gravity Foundations Clinics are weekend-based camps designed to build the technical foundations, confidence, and control required for gravity and downhill mountain biking.

These clinics are ideal for intermediate riders looking to bridge the gap between trail riding and bike park downhill riding, or for experienced gravity riders seeking to refine fundamentals.

8th – 12th Grade

This trip is designed for intermediate upper middle school and high school riders who want a perfect mix of pure fun, big adventure, and meaningful challenge — all wrapped into one epic experience.

We’ll spend our days riding classic Crested Butte trails like Doctor Park, 401/403, Deer Creek, and other high-alpine favorites. Expect flowy singletrack, technical sections, long climbs that lead to grin-inducing descents, and endless alpine views. Some rides will feel smooth and playful, others will feel earned — together creating the kind of balance that makes mountain biking unforgettable.

    • Grade Range: Rising 8th – 12th Grade (intermediate to advanced level riders)
    • Ability: Intermediate to advanced riders. Must be able to confidently ride up and down intermediate (blue) and advanced (black) single-track trails and features, and have an understanding of basic MTB fundamentals. This is NOT an intro to MTB skills trip.
    • Dates: June 26th – 28th
    • Cost: $400
