Whitney Henceroth is an Event Operation Specialist for Copper Mountain
Resort, focusing on the organizational and operational side of large events that
take place at Copper. Her work includes budget oversight, client relations, and
facilitating communication. She has worked at Copper since October 2014.
Whitney is an alumna of Team Summit, having skied in the free ski
program for approximately ten years, including two PG years. She skied on the
U.S. Freestyle Development Team based in Park City following her PG career
and was ranked as one of the top 15 freestyle athletes nationally.
When she “retired” from competition, Whitney enrolled in the University of
Colorado Leeds School of Business, where she earned a B.S. in Business
Administration in three years, graduating in December 2013. Whitney is
volunteering with Team Summit’s Advancement Committee and is excited about
joining the Board to launch the alumni program. She is a shining example of how
Team Summit’s life lessons benefit young people. She is very clear about how
her life was transformed by the Club, her coaches, her fellow athletes, and the
invaluable lessons she learned while participating. Team Summit was important
in her development as a young adult and she wants to remind other alumni of
that. and reconnect them to the Club. She brings an important perspective to the
Board and she is excited to help the organization move forward in its evolution.
