Alpine Updates

October 7th, 2020

This message is being sent to all 2019-20 and 2020-21 registered Team Summit Alpine Ability and Age Class Academy Athletes and parents. Our apologies to those who will receive multiple copies until we begin messaging only 2020-21 registered athletes as programs return to snow in the coming weeks.

Dear Team Summit Alpine Ability and Age Class Academy Athletes, parents and Alpine Coaching staff:

This year, there will not be an RMD hosted Skills Quest Conditioning Assessment.

The Skills Quest Conditioning Assessment is designed to gauge your fitness, monitor progress from season to season, and identify areas of strength and for improvement. All scores will be entered into a national database allowing athletes to not only compare themselves from year to year, but also to peers around the country.

Older athletes who are under consideration for various Divisional, Regional or National events or teams are required to achieve a minimum score to be eligible for consideration.

Skills Quest information, testing protocols, and other information can be found here: https://dev.usskiandsnowboard.org/index.php/sport-programs/skillsquest/skillsquest-conditioning-assessment

Team Summit will conduct the Skills Quest Conditioning Assessment for all Ability athletes and all Age Class Academy athletes on October 17 at the Silverthorne Rec. Center. Due to restrictions, the total group size is limited to 25.

Ability athletes are scheduled from 8-11AM and Age Class athletes are scheduled from 11AM-2PM. Please sign-up by Saturday, October 10 so we can open up to additional part-time athletes as space allows. Only registered athletes will be allowed to participate.

Please arrive at the Silverthorne Rec Center 5 minutes before your scheduled time dressed for physical activity and with a pair of CLEAN gym shoes in hand. Bring water, snacks and your best effort!

For parents looking for Volunteer Opportunities, you can start by helping at the Annual Breckenridge Ski and Snowboard Swap.  More opportunities will be announced once we have a complete schedule.
Please remember, volunteering for Team Summit helps keep tuition costs low, supports scholarships, and helps you engage in our community.

Log into your CampInTouch Account to see all the opportunities currently available.

Please reach out to me or your program’s Head Coach with any questions.
