Get Ready for Optional Dryland Training This Fall!
As the ski season approaches, Team Summit is excited to announce our optional dryland training sessions! These practices are designed to help athletes improve their fitness and reduce the risk of injury while also providing a great opportunity to bond with peers and coaches before the season kicks off.
Training Schedule
We have scheduled two sessions in Summit County and two in Denver:
Summit County at Frisco Adventure Park:
- September 29: 11 am – 1 pm
- October 13: 11 am – 1 pm
Denver at Washington Park:
- October 20: 10 am – 12 pm
- October 27: 10 am – 12 pm
Location for Denver Sessions: Inside Washington Park by E Ohio St and S Downing St.

What to Expect
Dryland training is a crucial part of off-season preparation for skiers and snowboarders. Led by our Human Performance Director, Jack Farrell, these sessions will include a mix of games, agility drills, and obstacle courses specifically designed to enhance fitness for skiing and snowboarding.
Daily Structure:
- Warm-Up: Dynamic exercises to get muscles ready.
- Exercise Stations: Various agility drills and games.
- Team Relay Obstacle Course: A fun wrap-up that combines the day’s training elements.
What to Bring
Participants should come prepared with:
- Plenty of water
- Healthy snacks
- A good pair of running shoes
- Athletic shorts or pants
- A jacket and a rain jacket
- Sunscreen
- A positive attitude!
Dress for the weather, as all practices will be held rain or shine.
Registration and Waivers
Registration is required for all participants, and athletes are welcome to bring friends! Make sure to sign the necessary waivers, including a separate one for Frisco Adventure Park.
