Keeping our membership well informed is a Team Summit Colorado priority. Team Summit Colorado communication is conducted primarily via email. Please notify us immediately of any changes to your primary email address.
TUITION PAYMENT
Payment in full for Winter Programs is due by October 15. Installment payment plans are available with monthly auto-draft payments, with the final payment drafted on October 15. Tuition and camp registrations totaling less than $1,000 are not eligible for payment by check.
Should payments extend beyond December 15, a $50 per month processing fee will be added to all payment plans with balances remaining after October 15.

PROMISE TO PAY TUITION POLICY
Accounts with past-due balances as of December 15 will result in training suspension without refund and revocation of Team Summit Colorado discounted season pass privileges.
When the member account is brought up to date, training may resume upon payment of a $100 reinstatement fee. Resumption of training is at the discretion of the Program Director.
Past-due balances will incur a 1% per month finance charge on the outstanding balance.
All fees are non-refundable except for season-ending injuries (see Injury Refund Policy). By participating, members agree that in the event of past-due nonpayment of any program, training, or other fees, Team Summit Colorado shall be awarded attorney fees, court costs, and any other fees, costs, and expenses incurred in connection with collection efforts.
MULTIPLE ATHLETE DISCOUNT
Families with three or more athletes enrolled in Team Summit Colorado programs will receive a multiple athlete discount as follows:
- 3rd athlete in a family – 10% discount*
- 4th athlete in a family – 15% discount*
- 5th athlete in a family – 20% discount*
*The discount is applied to the least expensive program(s).
MULTIPLE PROGRAM DISCOUNT
Athletes enrolled in three or more Team Summit Colorado programs will receive a multiple program discount as follows:
- 3rd program for an athlete – 10% discount*
- 4th program for an athlete – 15% discount*
- 5th program for an athlete – 20% discount*
*The discount is applied to the least expensive program(s).
*Multiple Program Discounts and Multiple Athlete Discounts cannot be stacked.
*Discounts apply to winter programs only; camps are excluded.
GOVERNING BODY MEMBERSHIPS AND LICENSES
U.S. Ski & Snowboard (USSS), International Freeskiers & Snowboarders Association (IFSA), United States of America Snowboard and Freeski Association (USASA), and International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) licenses are not required to participate in Team Summit Colorado programs.
Athletes competing in USSS, IFSA, USASA, or FIS-sanctioned events are required to obtain a competitor’s license and the appropriate license directly through each organization.
Examples of competitions requiring athlete licensure include:
- Alpine Youth Ski League Series
- Alpine Age Class Series
- Rocky Mountain Freestyle Events
- Snowboard Revolution Tour
- Junior Nationals
- Nationals
Athletes choosing to compete only in in-house competitions are not required to have a USSS competitor’s license.
VOLUNTEER SERVICE FEE (VSF) POLICY
The Volunteer Service Fee (VSF) is a work deposit charged to each family, not each athlete, in the program.
- All Intro, Development, and Competition Programs are charged $400.
- Nordic 1 Day Programs are charged $100.
The goal of the VSF is to promote volunteerism for fundraising events, races, and special projects. Volunteer service helps keep costs down while creating community among members, directly benefiting Team Summit Colorado athletes and families.
VSF Guidelines
- Volunteer Service Logs are located in each family’s online Team Summit Colorado Point account. Point Login HERE.
- Members are responsible for tracking completed hours using their Volunteer Service Log. Team Summit Colorado staff, coaches, and coordinators are not responsible for maintaining volunteer logs in progress.
- Volunteer service may be performed by any family member. Members 12 years old and under must be supervised by an adult.
- All required hours must be completed to receive a VSF account credit. No partial credit will be given. The season begins May 1 and ends April 30.
- Intro and Development Programs must complete 25 hours of volunteer service for full reimbursement.
- Competition Programs must complete 30 hours of volunteer service for full reimbursement.
- Nordic 1 Day Programs must complete 8 hours of volunteer service for full reimbursement.
- Refunds will be credited to accounts at the end of the winter season in May. Families may choose to donate the credit back to Team Summit Colorado, apply it toward the following season’s VSF, or apply it toward any outstanding balance. Families may also request that the amount be refunded by check or direct deposit.
- Families having difficulty satisfying VSF requirements should communicate with Team Summit Colorado well before the deadline to learn about additional volunteer opportunities.
INJURY REFUND POLICY
Tuition refunds are issued only for season-ending injuries or medical conditions.
A written note from a physician detailing the injury or medical reason for abstaining from training or competition is required to receive a refund.
Injuries or medical conditions that occur while violating Team Summit Colorado’s Code of Conduct Policy will NOT be eligible for a refund.
Refunds of Program Fees and VSF requirements will be prorated depending on when the injury occurred during the winter program.
Intro Programs
(Intro to TS, FreeSki Devo, Ski Race Devo)
- Prior to December 31: 75% refunded
- Prior to January 31: 50% refunded
- Prior to February 28: 25% refunded
- After March 1: 0% refunded
Part-Time Competition Programs
- Prior to November 30: 75% refunded
- Prior to December 31: 60% refunded
- Prior to January 31: 40% refunded
- Prior to February 28: 20% refunded
- After March 1: 0% refunded
Academy Programs
- Prior to September 30: 90% refunded
- Prior to October 31: 80% refunded
- Prior to November 30: 70% refunded
- Prior to December 31: 60% refunded
- Prior to January 31: 40% refunded
- Prior to February 28: 20% refunded
- After March 1: 0% refunded
Season passes purchased through Team Summit Colorado discount programs will have their privileges suspended at the time of a refund for a season-ending injury.
Team Summit Colorado Will Not Issue Refunds For:
- Suspension
- Expulsion
- Lack of interest
- Dissatisfaction with programming or staff
- Programming or staffing circumstances
- Academic ineligibility
- Transportation issues
- Relocation
- Poor competition performance
- Conflicts with other sports schedules
Payment of Refunds
- Refunds will first be applied to outstanding account balances.
- Refunds can be issued by check or via direct deposit.
Camp Cancellations
- Cancellations made 20 days or more before the start of camp: A cancellation may be considered for a refund. Refunds are limited to recoverable hard costs associated with the camp. Hard costs that have already been committed to or are otherwise non-recoverable are not eligible for a refund.
- Cancellations made fewer than 20 days before the start of camp: Cancellations are not eligible for a refund due to the costs and commitments associated with camp operations, staffing, travel, lodging, transportation, and other expenses.
- No-shows or early departures: No refunds will be provided for athletes who do not attend camp or leave camp early.
Director Discretion
All refund requests are subject to review and discretionary approval by the appropriate Program Director. Team Summit Colorado reserves the right to make exceptions to this policy on a case-by-case basis when circumstances warrant.
This policy is subject to change at the discretion of Team Summit Colorado and its Program Directors.
TEAM SUMMIT COLORADO FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Team Summit Colorado typically has scholarship funds available annually to support athletes pursuing their athletic goals.
Team Summit Colorado recognizes that competitive youth sports can create financial challenges for athletes and families, and it is the organization’s goal to assist athletes in need when appropriate.
The financial assistance program provides a defined and measurable procedure for providing financial assistance in compliance with donor intent and the mission of Team Summit Colorado.
Assistance awarded to each athlete will not exceed 50% of program tuition.

Financial Assistance Deadlines
- Winter Program Tuition financial assistance applications are due September 30. Awards are approved following the October Board of Directors meeting.
- Summer Camp Assistance I applications for camps beginning before July 1 must be received by April 15. Awards are approved following the May Board of Directors meeting.
- Summer Camp Assistance II applications for camps beginning after June 30 must be received by May 15. Awards are approved following budget ratification.
Additionally, an emergency fund has been established to assist athletes who have earned invitations to national or international competitions. Requests for emergency assistance funds may be submitted at any time.
NEW MEMBER REFERRAL
- Introduce a new member to Team Summit Colorado and receive a non-refundable, non-transferable $200 credit toward the current year’s program fee.
- New members must provide the referring family’s name during online registration.
- Referred members must be new to Team Summit Colorado and may not have previously participated in camps, part-time programs, or full-time programs.
- Referred members and referring family athletes must enroll in full-season programs.
- Credits are provided by March 1.
TEAM SUMMIT COLORADO JACKET PROGRAM
- Team jackets provide safety, Team Summit Colorado brand recognition, sponsor visibility, and team unity across all disciplines. Jackets are required during training and competitions, when appropriate. Jackets are provided through fundraising.
- New athletes receive a complimentary team jacket.
- Full-time athletes receive a complimentary jacket every year. (Academy and Post Grad)
- Part-time athletes receive a complimentary jacket every other year.
SKI PASSES AND SEASON PASS POLICY
Through the support and generosity of Summit County resort partners, Team Summit Colorado athletes are eligible for discounted season passes.
Athletes enrolled in multi-mountain programs will require both a Copper Mountain Season Pass and an Epic Local Pass.
Prior to obtaining discounted passes, the following must be completed:
- Completed online registration and all required releases and waivers.
- Payment of at least 50% of program fees.
Woodward at Copper, Copper Mountain Season Pass, and Epic Local Pass authorization letters and/or voucher numbers will then be issued to eligible athletes.
Copper Mountain Season Pass
The Copper Mountain Resort Season Pass allows unrestricted skiing and riding at Copper Mountain Resort and is available only to athletes training at Copper Mountain.
Upon email notification from Team Summit Colorado staff and issuance of a unique voucher number, passes may be purchased through Guest Services in Center Village.

Epic Local Pass
The Vail Resorts Team Summit Pass allows unrestricted skiing and riding at:

Prior to the start of each program, Team Summit Colorado staff will email athlete-specific voucher information redeemable at Keystone or Breckenridge pass offices.
Woodward at Copper Barn Pass
The Woodward Copper Barn Pass allows restricted drop-in access at Woodward at Copper.
Reservations are not accepted with this pass, and certain blackout dates apply.

Team Summit Colorado partner resorts will not issue passes without authorization from Team Summit Colorado. Please do not visit resort pass offices before receiving official notification.
Arapahoe Basin Pass
The Arapahoe Basin Ski Area Pass allows unrestricted skiing and riding at Arapahoe Basin.
Only programs training at Arapahoe Basin are eligible for discounted A-Basin season passes.
DROP-IN TRAINING
Team Summit Colorado offers limited drop-in training opportunities for visiting athletes or Team Summit Colorado athletes seeking additional training days.
Drop-in training is available only on scheduled training days, and arrangements must be made in advance with the Program Director.
Drop-In Training Guidelines
- Athletes must adhere to all Team Summit Colorado rules and the Code of Conduct.
- Drop-in fees are non-refundable, non-transferable, and do not carry over to future seasons.
- Drop-in training for non-Intro Programs requires prior approval from the Program Director.
Drop-in training fees must be paid in full, and all required Team Summit Colorado forms, releases, and waivers must be completed prior to participation.
