SKI RACING COMP

Ski Racing Comp is a more intensive race training program for U14, U16, and U18 athletes, focusing on recreational and High School Racing, not scored USSS and FIS racing. It offers all-day training on Saturdays and Sundays with gate training each weekend and during “Friday Night Lights” at Keystone. Training rotates between Copper Mountain and Keystone. The program includes gate training sessions and all-mountain free skiing and drill skiing. Competitions in the Youth Ski League (YSL) series are supplemented by the GS Spectacular, Loveland Derby, and NASTAR Nationals. Requirements:
  • Age Categories: U14: 12-13 years old, U16: 14-15 years old, U18: 16-17 years old; based on your child’s age as of December 31, 2026.
  • Skills: PSIA Level 7: Parallel skiing on blue and black terrain; high level of independence to ride chairlifts and navigate the training venue solo.

  • Program Dates: Saturday and Sunday 8:30-3:30 Dec 12, 2026 – March 21, 2027 Friday Night Lights at Keystone 4:00-7:00 PM Jan 8, 2027 – March 19, 2027 
  • Locations:  Half the season is at Keystone Resort, and half of the season is at Copper Mountain. There is no home mountain for Comp.
  • Competitions: Athletes compete in the YSL series throughout the season and are encouraged to participate in the GS Spectacular and the Loveland Derby.
  • Program Fees:
    • $3,775.00
    • + $400 Volunteer Service Fee.
  • Season Pass: Athletes need a Copper/Ikon Pass and an Epic Local Pass for training. Registered athletes will receive discount vouchers for Copper Mountain and the Epic Local Pass. Ikon Pass offers season-long pricing at its lowest pre-season price. Vouchers are distributed to registered athletes close to the start of the season.
