Volunteer Service Fee (VSF) Policies Explained

Volunteer Service Fee Overview

Team Summit Colorado is a community-powered organization. We pride ourselves on offering affordable access to the mountains so every athlete can achieve their personal podiums. Our events, competitions, and programs rely on the support of our families. The VSF is a refundable fee collected at registration, designed to encourage family participation in volunteer opportunities that directly support our athletes and programs.

Standard VSF

Applies to all programs except Nordic.

How It Works

  • $400 VSF per family, per season
  • Earn your refund by completing 25–30 volunteer hours, depending on the program
  • Volunteer opportunities include events, competitions, fundraisers, and more
  • All hours are tracked through POINT, Team Summit’s volunteer platform

End-of-Season Options

After hours are reviewed, families may:
  • Donate the VSF back to Team Summit
  • Receive a refund through direct deposit or check by mail
  • Roll the credit forward onto next season in your Ski Club Pro account

Volunteer Tracking

All volunteer hours must be:
  • Completed through approved Team Summit opportunities
  • Logged in POINT

Eligible Volunteer Opportunities

Families can fulfill VSF requirements through:
  • Competitions and race support
  • Community events
  • Fundraisers
  • Operational and administrative support
  • Additional opportunities listed on POINT
  • Requests with prior approval from a Program Director

Administration

  • VSF is collected at registration
  • Volunteer hours are verified through POINT
  • Refunds and credits are processed after the season ends on April 30
Team Summit Colorado’s Administrative Team makes final determinations regarding VSF completion and refunds.

*Nordic programs follow a modified VSF structure due to shorter seasons and different training commitments. **If a family participates in both the Nordic and another Team Summit program, the highest VSF requirement applies.
