Big Mountain
Summit High School 2022
7 years (5 with big mountain)
1) Learning back flips in the beavers with the team.
2) Going bushwhacking in early season.
3) Eating lunch at the beavers deck and having a jump session.
4) Dinners at team housing
5) Going to Alaska with the team
Some of my proudest moments include; making it to North American championships (NorAms) in both 12-14 and 15-18. Qualifying for NorAms this year in 5th place nationally. Placing 1st at Arapahoe Basin, Crested Butte regionals as well as the Alyeska National. Along with competition successes, I am proud of learning how to do a backflip and a 360 as well as ski fast and hit big scary cliffs. I am also proud of being able to play on a successful rugby team with the high school.
I am going to most likely be attending Montana State University for Exercise Science. I will be playing rugby on the club team at MSU as well as joining the MSU Freeride team where I will compete in the adult big mountain comps (FWQ's). I would also like to join the intramural spikeball team.
I think being a part of Team Summit has taught me a lot of perseverance and dedication as waking up early every single weekend to ski is hard to do all winter long. It has also taught me a lot of time management skills since we miss a lot of school while competing in cool new places. Lastly, I learned how to meet new people as we got to meet lots of lifelong friends at the competitions we traveled to.
I would like to thank all my coaches especially Max and Daniel because they have pushed me to not only get better at skiing but to become a better person by learning to be confident and making the best out of any situation that life throws at me. I would also like to thank all my teammates who pushed me to ski faster and hit bigger jumps, and for supporting me on the good days and bad days.

Summit High School 2022
This is my 4th year with Team Summit and my 7th year of Big Mountain
My favorite memories at Team Summit include having lunch and jump sessions on the Beavers Deck, playing hide and seek in team houses, making team dinners, and being convinced to do scary things.
Some of my proudest moments with Team Summit are winning Telluride Regionals last year, as well as podiuming in 1 National, 2 Regionals, and getting 5th at North American Championships this year in the 15-18 age division. I also qualified for NorAms as a 12-14. As well as this, I learned how to do a backflip, a 360, hit big and really scary cliffs.
Next year, I will be attending Montana State University in Bozeman for Engineering. I plan on joining their Freeride Team and competing in a few adult big mountain competitions and joining intramural spikeball.
I think that being part of Team Summit has taught me how to be a role model and how to persevere through long seasons of getting up early. By getting to meet lots of awesome younger girls on the team, I feel like I've gotten to be able to be a role model through pushing myself in skiing and leadership. I've also gain so many lifelong friends from both my team, as well as meeting many amazing people in all of the really cool places we go to in order to compete. As well as this, I've also been able to have another lesson of pushing through failure and being able to enjoy all the parts of skiing, even when you're sad in the moment.
I would like to thank my coaches, Daniel and Max, for always believing in me and being able to be focused but still be goofy with us, especially when we travel for competitions. I want to thank my teammates as well because they inspire me to push myself farther than I ever thought I could in skiing.

My favorite memory with Team Summit would have to be the entire 2021 Mount Hood camp. We had a huge group of kids there and I had the chance to be a coach in training so I learned a lot from the coaches about what goes on to run the camps and I also just had so much fun!
Some of my proudest moments with Team Summit would be placing in the top 5 overall at junior Nationals in both 2021 and 2022, that's been a big goal for me for a long time. I'm also super proud to be a member of the Rocky Mountain Division All Star Team for the last 2 years. Finally, I placed 2nd in the National Brotherhood of Skiers Grand Prix this season through Rocky Mountain Freestyle which I was super proud of because it was a season long competition. Placing second meant I had skied consistently in RMF competitions all year and got to take home a nice scholarship to use for school next year.
After graduation I will be attending the University of Utah and continuing to compete in mogul skiing.
I feel like more than anything, Team Summit has taught me about how to be a team player. Even though mogul skiing is an individual sport, Team Summit is like a second family to me, the support they give me year round is amazing. I feel that through all my years with Team Summit I've learned how important it is to be part of that support system for the other athletes around me and to be encouraging and helping them everyday.
I would like to thank all of my coaches at Team Summit for the unwavering support throughout all the years. Chris Carson has been a part of my journey at Team Summit from the very first season. From my first day at Team Summit with Melissa Haupt as my coach to this past year with Zak Watkins, Paul Walker, Matt Hlidek, and Scott Rawles coaching me through the most hectic but most fun season yet, I've felt nothing but supported and encouraged by my coaches. I'm nothing but thankful for everything they've all done to get me to where I am both as an athlete and a person.

How to be a leader, time management, communication skills, and self motivation.
I would like to thank my coaches, They have helped me become the strong athlete and person I am today. They dedicated so much time to help me get better and for that I will always be grateful. I loved free skiing with Jared when I was little in giant groups and playing games like fox and goose, our trips to Taos, and snowmobiling on Vail Pass . I have loved skiing with Doug these last 3 years and have appreciated all his guidance even though it sometimes came with a touch of sarcasm. I also want to thank Aldo because he works tirelessly to provide us with the best training possible and always knows how to motivate us. I want to thank Krone for always bringing the fun and positive energy to training and keeping skiing fun and Tina who was there to support me no matter what. Lastly, Jack's strength and conditioning program was so invaluable to my health and success.

My favorite memories are from all of the big team trips we've taken. All the Mount Hood trips, the New Zealand trip, and the banked Slalom trips have been the best!
My proudest moments have been whenever I've reached my goals whether it has been landing a new trick, getting a good contest result, or having a lot of fun.
I plan to take CMC classes next year and compete in snowboard competitions.
Team Summit has taught me about community, leadership, overcoming adversity, and not giving up. It has taught me what you can accomplish when you believe in yourself, have support, are dedicated, and work hard.
I'd like to thank all my coaches. They have been a family to me and have always supported and mentored me. I'd also like to thank everyone else who works with Team Summit that have supported me and made my goals possible. I owe my teammates a massive thanks as well for being there for me and pushing me to always be better at everything.
