ITS / Devo Dryland Training

Dear Parents and Athletes, 

Welcome to Team Summit's ITS program! I oversee our ITS program as the ITS Head Coach . Some of you have already received my previous email so apologies for the repetition. I would like to let you know that Team Summit will be hosting optional dryland practices in the month of October. Two will be held in Summit County and two in Denver at Washington Park. Dryland is where the athletes learn about exercises that get them in shape for ski season. Besides some calisthenics, we generally have an obstacle course and a pick-up soccer game. Please have your athlete dress appropriately for these types of activities and for the weather as it can be a chilly day in Summit County! We received confirmation back from our parks so I now have all the details as to times and location. Dates are listed below. Details regarding these events can be found on our ITS Calendar which can be found under "members" on TeamSummit.org.  https://teamsummit.org/members/calendars/intro-team-summit-calendar. We strongly encourage our parents to refer to this calendar often as this is where ITS events and practices will be posted and updated. 

We also encourage our parents to read our Team Summit newsletter.  The newsletter is filled with a wealth of information such as jacket distribution, family orientation, and much more! The newsletter goes out to all of our registered athletes.  If you have recently joined, it may take a few weeks before you receive your first one.

I will be going over our program in detail at our family orientation on Saturday, November 13.

Hopefully I will have the opportunity to meet many of you at one of our dryland practices! It’s a fun way for the kids to meet others in our Team Summit family!

Oct 3,      11am-1pm Summit: Frisco Adventure Park- Multipurpose field (located in-between the ball field and the Nordic Center).
Oct 10,   11am-1pm Summit: Frisco Adventure Park-Multipurpose field (located in-between the ball field and the Nordic Center).   
Oct 17,    10am-12pm-Denver: Washington Park- meet in park at the corner of S. Downing St and E. Ohio Ave.
Oct 31    10am-12pm-Denver: Washington Park- meet in park at the corner of S. Downing St and E. Ohio Ave.
