Dear U16 and FIS Athletes and Parents:
We believe that all our Ability athletes should be ready to take responsibility for their planning, registrations, and other details. Please read the update thoroughly and act on any sign-ups and other items immediately.

Family Orientation and Impact Testing
TSC Family Orientation is on Saturday, November 16 at the Copper Mountain Conference Center.

Schedule
8:00am-12:45: Vail Summit Orthopedics Impact Testing (12+)
* Runs every hour until 12:45pm
9:00am – 9:45am: Welcome Message – CB / Positive Sports Parenting
9:55am – 10:30am: Alpine Ability Program Orientation
10:30am – 2:00pm: Jacket Pick up and Info Tables
3:00 – 5:00: Team Summit Season Kick-Off Social
 
During the Alpine Ability Program Orientation, we will review Safe Sport policies and practices, Travel planning policies and practices, Equipment maintenance and race preparation.

ImPACT testing is strongly encouraged for all athletes ages 12 and up. ImPACT requires you to bring your own computer and $15 to establish a cognitive baseline. Black Diamond Ski Grinder Tutorial
A tutorial on how to use the Black Diamond edge grinder will be held this Saturday following training at 4:45PM at the Team Summit Clubhouse. This is open to all who’ve purchased one of the grinders and any other who may be interested in seeing how the grinders perform.

U16 Training and Competition Trip to Vermont in December
We are moving forward with planning for this project recommended for Championship Qualifying and top 5 alternate athletes from last year. Details will be available next week when pricing is received for several remaining outstanding items.
 
There has been a slight change to the schedule with the addition of a second SL to the race program. See the revised schedule below.
 
Schedule:
December 2 – Travel
December 3 – Train SL at Sugarbush North
December 4,5 – 2xSL Race (Two races one day for one gender training for the other gender)
December 6, 7 – Train GS at Stratton Mountain Resort
December 8 – GS Race
December 9 – Travel  

Birds of Prey World Cup – Deadline TODAY November 13
PLEASE REMEMBER WHEN SIGNING UP TO NOT LEAVE ANY COLUMNS BLANK. INDICATE YOUR INTENT TO RIDE IN THE VAN AS WELL AS YOUR INTENT TO PARTICIPATE BY PLACING A 1 (ONE) OR 0 (ZERO) IN THE APPROPRIATE COLUMN ACROSS FROM YOUR NAME. PLEASE COMPLETE BOTH REQUIRED RELEASES THAT ARE LINKED BELOW OR ON THE TSC TRAVEL PLANNING FORM FOR THIS EVENT.
 
On Sunday, December 8 we will volunteer as a team for course crew at the World Cup GS in Beaver Creek. This will be a great opportunity for us to be on course and get a closeup perspective of the World Cup! We will be slipping before the race and between competitors throughout the race. There will be no training scheduled on this date.
