Winter 2022/2023 Open Positions

INTRO TO TEAM SUMMIT COACH AND ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Seasonal FT: 32-40 hours per week

October 11, 2022 - March 31, 2023

Salary Range: $15-20/hour

 

Eligible Benefits: Ski Passes necessary to conduct Team Summit training, Accident Policy coverage, 401k and access to Team Summit Colorado Health Insurance options


Assist with staff onboarding to track and ensure compliance with internal and external policy. 

  • Create operational documents to support coaches in organizing and managing athletes and training groups. 

  •  Create media, both print and digital, to assist coaches, athletes and parents in understanding our programs and the logistics of our training sessions. 

  •  Provide a timely response to coach and parent emails about our programs. 

  •  Assist the the Director with preparing thorough and efficient information throughout the orientation process. 

  • Collect, record and submit payroll each week

  • Record attendance for on snow training preseason and during the season

  • Assist with Summit Cup preparations. 

  • Support the Director with communication, organization and logistics. 

  • ITS Coaching on Saturday and Sunday, 8 am-3 pm for 15 weeks at 1 of our four mountains. This includes the coaching responsibilities: weekly emails to parents, completing Mid-season and End-of the-season evaluations. Attendance at coaches’ orientation at Copper on the first Saturday of November, Attend two days of pre-season on-snow clinics and clinics during the season.

         - Course set-up and tear-down
  2. Practice timely and effective communication with athletes, parents, Program Director, and others as needed.
  3. Implement monthly, weekly, and daily training according to season, conditions, and progression
         - Addresses safety concerns as necessary
  4. Additional tasks
         - Athlete tracking
         - Organizes athlete/parent orientation with Directors
         - Weekly group emails
         - Assist in fundraising and additional activities
         - Schedules and conducts individual goal setting
         - Schedules and conducts team goal settings
         - Tracks progress of both team and individual goals
         - Assist with recruitment as necessary
         - Assist with additional tasks as necessary

PARK & PIPE DEVELOPMENT SKI COACH // Part Time Seasonal

Description

Hiring a part time park and pipe coach to help young athletes develop in the discipline. Previous coaching and/or competition experience preferred.  Will aid young teenagers safely navigate terrain parks, competitive environments.
Process oriented coaching philosophy is a must. 

Must love park and pipe skiing.

FREESKI DEVELOPMENT COACH // Part Time Seasonal

Salary: $ 125 day depending on experience, certifications and qualifications. 

 

Qualifications: Prior experience instructing, coaching, or competing. USSA Coaching license “Fast Start” and CDC “Heads Up” Traumatic Brain Injury recognition course. 

 

Duration: Seasonal - Saturdays and Sundays December 1- March 30 with additional days possible

 

Primary Duties:

1. Communication:

2. Conduct Scheduled training from 8:00-3:30 or last athlete is picked up, and pending weather conditions and lift ops.

3. Execute an appropriate daily, weekly, and monthly Training Plan such as:
-Meet group 
-Explain Daily Plan and Safety Tip
-Warm up/group stretch
-Skill Training/with feedback
-Lunch Supervision
-Revisit skill
-Cool down
-Review/wait for athlete pick up

4. Work with Parents and Athletes on an appropriate competition plan.

COMPETITION COORDINATOR // Part-Time Hourly

Job Title: Competition Coordinator

Organization: Team Summit Colorado

Job Type: Part-Time Hourly

Team Summit Colorado, a premier ski and snowboard training club seeks a highly motivated and organized Competition Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and executing all aspects of our hosted competitions, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for athletes and families.

The Competition Coordinator will be responsible for the execution of:

● 5 races of the summer Summit Gravity Mountain Bike Series,

● 4 Summit Foundation Cup Ski and Snowboard competitions,

● 6 Bubblegum Races - after-school ski and snowboard races

● 4 Freeski Devo Competitions

● 6 Alpine ski races

This is a total of approximately 51 competition days, plus preparation time.

Responsibilities:

● Plan, organize, and execute all aspects of hosted competitions, including but not

limited to local, regional, and national level events.

● Ensuring that all sanction agreements, event announcements, SafeSport

compliance, registration listings, permits, and the like are executed and posted in advance of the event.

● Manage event logistics, including transportation, housing, meals, and volunteer coordination.

● Simultaneously manage multiple events and locations

● Work closely with the marketing team to create and execute marketing strategies to promote our competition.

● Provide administrative support to the program directors, including but not limited to event registration, travel arrangements, and budget tracking

● Foster positive relationships with event organizers, resort partners, officials, and volunteers

● Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports on competitions

● Attend and participate in industry events and training opportunities to stay current on best practices and trends

Qualifications:

● Highly organized, detail-oriented planner, with project management experience,

with a focus on competitive sports programs preferred

● Available weekends

● Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to interact

effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders

● Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment

● Acquire or maintain a US Ski & Snowboard Competition Official Certification

● Proficiency in Google Suite

● Passion for winter sports and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service

● The ability to recruit and mobilize volunteers
