Family Orientation 2019 – Snowboard Presentations
ATHLETE ORIENTATION
Rules of the Sport
-Helmets must be worn whenever strapped in
-Follow the Colorado Skier Safety Act (know the code)
The rules are very open-ended in snowboarding and that’s what draws a lot of people to the sport. On Team Summit we do have a structure to our training and programming to foster the creativity of the sport. Creativity is what has lead snowboarders and snowboarding to be successful in all disciplines of snowboarding.
How Parents Can Help With Training
-Praise your child for their effort more than their results
-Encourage Positive Self Talk
-Snowboarding is FUN!!!
