Team Summit focuses on the skills required to create a well-rounded rider and offers specialized programs for boarder-cross, slopestyle, halfpipe, rail jam, and big mountain.
Program Approach
The U.S. Ski & Snowboard Training Systems have been designed to ensure that all athletes, coaches, and parent members of U.S. Ski & Snowboard have the best possible opportunity to fulfill their athletic dreams and talent. They are based on a long-term athlete development model (LTAD) for skiers and riders that emphasize age-appropriate training and competition.

SNOWBOARD DEVO
Requirements:
- Age Requirements: 6-15 years old
- Minimum Skills Required: Turns consistently on both edges on blue terrain.
- Program Calendar: December – March. One day a week for 15 weeks starting the 1st Saturday in December through mid-March.
- Training Locations: Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, and Keystone.
- Competitions: Participation in 4 Summit Cup competitions.
- Equipment: Properly tuned snowboard, Snowboard boots should fit appropriately in binding. Team Summit’s Ski and Board Swap offers discounted equipment.
- Program Cost: $2,955.00 Volunteer Service Fee (VSF) – $300.00.
- Season Pass: Athletes should have both an Ikon and Epic Pass for training at all local areas.
SNOWBOARD 201
Requirements:
- Age Requirements: 6-15 years old.
- Minimum Skills Required: Turns with rhythm and flow on blue-groomed terrain. Comfortable jumping to the landing on medium-sized jumps, and flow anywhere on the mountain in any conditions.
- Program Calendar: November – April.
- Training Locations: Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, and Keystone.
- Competitions: Snowboard 201 competes in the USASA Rocky Mountain Series.
- Equipment: Properly tuned snowboard, Snowboard boots should fit appropriately in binding. Team Summit’s Ski and Board Swap offers discounted equipment.
- Program Cost: $3,995.00. Volunteer Service Fee (VSF) – $400.00.
- Season Pass: Athletes should have both an Ikon and Epic Pass for training at all local areas.
SNOWBOARD 301
Requirements:
- Age Requirements: 13 years old and up.
- Minimum Skills Required: Kids should have significant time on their snowboards.
- Program Calendar: November – April. Friday training is available.
- Training Locations: Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, and Keystone.
- Competitions: USASA Rocky Mountain Series, IFSA National and Regional Competitions.
- Equipment: Properly tuned snowboard, Snowboard boots should fit appropriately in binding. Team Summit’s Ski and Board Swap offers discounted equipment.
- Program Cost: $4,425.00. Volunteer Service Fee (VSF) – $400.00.

SNOWBOARD ACADEMY
TEAM SUMMIT HAS PARTNERED WITH LOCAL SCHOOLS TO OFFER A HIGH-QUALITY PROGRAM THAT ALLOWS KIDS TO DEVOTE TIME TO EVOLVE AS ATHLETES.
At Team Summit, we prioritize balancing athletic goals with a challenging education. Our full-time student-athletes benefit from more on-snow training days than any other program, access to four top-tier mountains, and year-round off-snow conditioning. They also develop crucial life skills like discipline and independence. We are committed to finding the best academic fit for your student-athlete.
JR ACADEMY
We offer a high-quality program for young athletes. Jr. Academy runs 4 days a week alongside Academy, aimed at kids who have participated in Team Summit or similar programs for 2-3 years before turning 10 and are competitive in USASA contests. Jr. Academy focuses on developing skilled snowboarders across various terrains, like the 201 program, but includes early-season workouts, extra trampoline and skateboard time in the fall, and more on-snow days. Parents should coordinate their child’s school schedule and arrange transportation for daily training.

- Competitions: Participation in various competitions.
- Equipment: Properly tuned snowboard, Snowboard boots should fit appropriately in binding. Team Summit’s Ski and Board Swap offers discounted equipment.

We prioritize flexibility and support, allowing student-athletes to pursue their athletic goals alongside a challenging education. Our full-time athletes enjoy more on-snow training days than any other program in the country, with access to four premier skiing and snowboarding mountains and year-round off-snow conditioning. Our program also teaches essential life skills like discipline, self-advocacy, work ethic, and independence, offering long-term benefits. We will collaborate to find the best academic fit for your full-time student-athlete.

COMPETITION CATEGORIES
SlopeStyle
Slopestyle, often called slope, is a judged event where the rider performs tricks on jump and rail features.
Halfpipe
Halfpipe is the event’s name and the only feature in the event.
Boardercross
Boardercross is a race where 4 snowboarders go down a course at the same time.
Rail Jam
Rail Jam is a judged contest on rails only.
Big Mountain
Athletes navigate a Black Diamond run and are judged.
