Snowboard Updates – February 18th, 2020
It has been a crazy competition season. We have more kids traveling to more places for contests, more kids doing well at contests, and unfortunately, more contests getting canceled than ever before. The effort that our families, athletes, parents, and sometimes grandparents put into making a successful snowboard season is remarkable. The Team and the coaches can not thank our membership enough for all of the support. The craziness continues for a few more weeks. The Big mountain Crew will head to Taos this weekend for an IFSA national, and the slope and pipe crews will head to Park City next week for the last Noram in the U.S. and the futures tour. The Boardercross crew will be at Ski Cooper this weekend for a Noram and a Rev tour. After that, there are some USASA's at Steamboat and another Boardercross at Crested Butte to round out the competition season. I hope everyone is looking forward to spring with a little more relaxed schedule until nationals time.
Our Mt. Hood trip is scheduled for July this year. Mt hood is every snowboarder's favorite summer destination. To sign up for summer camp login to CampMinder at teamsummit.org. For more info go here. This trip will go onto a waitlist soon so please act fast.
Congratulations to Alyssa Moroco for getting one of those big checks and securing her spot on the Noram tour in Slopestyle. Alyssa finished 2nd in The Futures Tour slopestyle at Mammoth.
