Team Summit Alpine Update November 18, 2025

Dear Team Summit Alpine Ability, Parents, Ability Athletes, and Alpine Coaches,

Please take a few minutes to read through this important update carefully. These communications are designed to provide you with the key information needed to navigate the season smoothly. We do our best to be thorough and timely with our updates in order to reduce confusion and limit the number of repetitive questions coming to staff. Your attention to these details helps our team stay focused on delivering a great training experience for the athletes—thank you in advance for your cooperation.

A huge “Thank-You” goes out to Copper Mountain for the great training we have been provided these first several weeks of November! We are fortunate to have this access to World Class Training, especially as temperatures have been uncooperative throughout Colorado.

Tomorrow evening, is the volunteer Zoom that is mandatory for all Copper Mt. World Cup volunteers. A recording will be available for viewing for any who are unable to attend live. Details below.

On Thursday, anyone who is interested in learning about how to continue ski racing in College is encouraged to attend a Collegiate Information Zoom presented by USSS, USCSA and NCAA Link and details below.

The Ability Calendar is updated with training through March 1 and with both FIS and Sync races through the end of the season in April. Please RSVP in Demosphere for entries from December 1 onwards. More info below.

The race season is not far away! Nor-Ams kick off on December 7, The FIS Calendar opens with FIS ENL races in Loveland on December 11 and the Sync schedule kicks off with races in Loveland December 13-15. Let’s Goooo! See below for entry and RSVP procedures.

Please reach out to any of us with additional questions.

Calendar and RSVP’s

The Ability Calendar is now updated with training through March 1, 2026.

Through the end of November, we continue to use the Google sheet available here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15BWvLK-3hZ8jRLljj-ajqGx66UyaortS/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=101737236662125019540&rtpof=true&sd=true

Please communicate any changes to the availability you previously entered to aldo@teamsummit.org.

Beginning December 1 we will return to recording availability in Demosphere.

Please review any entries already made from December 1 onwards and enter eligibility through the end of February. Please select only “Yes” (if your athlete will attend) or “No” (if they won’t)—and ignore the option to RSVP for relatives.

PLEASE NOTE: There continues to be a reported bug using the RSVP feature after selecting “View All” to see calendar entries that are more than 30 days out. Using the “RSVP” button after selecting “View All” will freeze the app, requiring closing and reopening the app to resume functionality.

When selecting “View All” in the app (Necessary to view entries more than 30 days out) choose the calendar entry, click on the “Availability” tab, scroll to the athlete name and record the attendance availability.

Race Entries

Please BOTH make race entries as required in the details of the Demosphere calendar entry AND record your availability in the Demosphere calendar entry. Event details regarding waiver, lift tickets, etc. will be available in the race announcement once posted on the RMD page at USSS https://www.usskiandsnowboard.org/sport-programs/regions-divisions/rocky-central-alpine-region/rocky-alpine-division-calendar

Coaches will confirm entry of athletes at each race’s Team Captains meeting based on the entries made in Demosphere.

Please make sure to execute waivers, follow any instructions regarding lift tickets and other items to ensure a non-stressful race morning.
