TSC Alpine training provides age and ability-appropriate training progressions to develop skiing skills, progress to more advanced disciplines and pursue the sport to achieve personal podiums at every level. Most importantly, we strive to foster a lifelong passion for skiing and active lifestyles.

Alpine Programs

Devo

The Ski Racing Devo program (U8, U10, U12) focuses on building ski racing fundamentals through free skiing, drills, and gate training, with race weekends and Youth Ski League (YSL) competitions. For older athletes, the Ski Racing Comp program (U14, U16, U18) provides more intensive weekend gate training for those focused on recreational and High School racing and participation in US Ski and Snowboard (USSS) competitions such as the YSL Series, GS Spectacular and Loveland Derby.

U8, U10, U12

This program develops ski racing fundamentals through free skiing, drills, and gate training (Slalom, GS, Kombi). Race weekends and YSL competitions (3 races) included. Choose your training location: Copper Mtn, Keystone, or Breckenridge.

Requirements:

  • Age Categories: U8 (7 or younger), U10 (8-9), U12 (10-11); based on age as of Dec 31, 2025.
  • Skills: PSIA Level 7—parallel skiing on blue/black terrain; high level of independence to ride chairlifts and navigate the training venue solo. 
  • Program Dates:
    Saturday and Sunday 8:30-3:30 Dec 6, 2025 – March 22, 2026
    Friday Night Lights at Keystone 4:00-7:00 PM Jan 9, 2026 – March 20, 2026 
  • Locations: Breckenridge, Copper, Keystone; training primarily at home mountain.
  • Competitions: 3 YSL races (Giant Slalom, Stubby Slalom, Kombi, Skills Quest); USSS Alpine Competitor license required.

    U14, U16, U18

    Ski Racing Comp is a more intensive race training program for U14, U16, and U18 athletes focusing on recreational and High School Racing, not scored USSS and FIS racing. It offers all-day training on Saturdays and Sundays with gate training each weekend and during “Friday Night Lights” at Keystone. Training rotates between Copper Mountain and Keystone. The program includes gate training sessions and all-mountain free skiing and drill skiing. Competitions in the Youth Ski League (YSL) series are supplemented by the GS Spectacular, Loveland Derby, and NASTAR Nationals.

    Requirements:

    • Age Categories: U14: 12-13 years old, U16: 14-15 years old, U18: 16-17 years old; based on your child’s age as of December 31, 2025.
    • Skills: PSIA Level 7: Parallel skiing on blue and black terrain; high level of independence to ride chairlifts and navigate the training venue solo.

    • Locations:  Half the season is at Keystone Resort and half of the season is at Copper Mountain. There is no home mountain for Comp.
    • Competitions: Athletes compete in the YSL series throughout the season and are encouraged to participate in the GS Spectacular, Loveland Derby, and the NASTAR Nationals.
    • Program Fees: Ski Racing Comp $3775 (Season Passes Required) + $400 Volunteer Service Fee.
    • Season Passes: Copper Mountain or Ikon Pass, and Epic Local Pass for training.

    Age Class

    Age Class includes athletes in the U10, U12 and U14 age groups competing in USSS sanctioned Age Class competitions in the Rocky Mountain Division (RMD). All U10 and U12 athletes are eligible for their Divisional Championships. U14 athletes are eligible for some Sync Series and qualify for either the Rocky/Central U14/U16 Showdown or the  Rocky/Central U14 Championships through designated races. All racers may participate in end of season events such as the GS Spectacular and Loveland Derby.
    Athletes compete in Slalom, Giant Slalom, Kombi, with an introduction to Super G for U12 and U14. There is a focus on developing fundamental skills through free-skiing, drills and gate training.
    Several Part-Time options are available with 20, 60 or 70 day maximums. Full-time Programs offer up to 125 days on snow from October to April. All Age Class athletes are eligible to enroll in up to 40 additional days on snow at optional Spring and Summer camps from May to August. The Part-Time athletes participate in the Full-Time program on a part-time basis.
    These programs prioritize Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) principles, focusing on technique, tactics, and preparation for racing.

    U10, U12, U14
    The Part-Time Age Class program offers U10-U14 skiers flexible training (3 days/week average) integrated with full-time academy athletes. Includes up to 60 training/competition days, late November through mid-April.

    • Age Categories: U10: 9 years or younger, U12: 10-11 years old, U14: 12-13 years old; based on the athlete’s age as of December 31, 2025.
    • Skills: PSIA Level 9: Parallel skiing on all terrain; high independence to ride chairlifts and navigate the training venue solo. Previous racing experience in Ski Racing Devo, Ski Racing Comp, or a similar program is recommended.

      Tuesday through Friday 1:00-4:00 PM; Saturday and Sunday 8:00-3:00; November 28, 2025 – April 12, 2026
      Friday Night Lights at Keystone 4:00-7:00 PM Jan 9, 2026 – March 27, 2026 
    • Locations: Free-ski and gate training at Summit County’s 4 ski areas.
    • Competitions: Athletes compete in the Age Class series (USSS/RMD sanctioned), racing Slalom, Giant Slalom, Kombi, and Super G. All U10 and U12 athletes are eligible for Divisional championships, while U14s are eligible for some Sync Series and qualify for the Rocky/Central U14 Championships through designated races.     Ability

    Ability includes athletes U16 ages and older racing in ability and age matched competitions from Divisional to Regional, National and International Competitions. Our Ability athletes train together whenever possible regardless of gender, age or competitive level. Athletes train and race primarily Slalom and Giant Slalom. Super G and Downhill racing and limited training is available to those interested. Several Part-Time options are available with 20, 60 or 70 day maximums. Full Time Programs offer up to 125 days on snow from October to April. All Ability athletes are eligible to enroll in up to 40 additional days on snow at optional Spring and Summer camps from May to August.     The Part-Time Ability program is designed for U16 and FIS athletes not able to or not interested in participating in the Ability Program full-time. The Part-Time Ability athletes participate in the Full-Time program on a part-time basis.

    With an average attendance of three days per week over a 20 week season from late November to mid-April, athletes will have access to all Ability training and competition opportunities for up to 60 days per season.

    Requirements:

    • Age Categories: U16: 14-15 years old, U18: 16-17 years old, U21: 18-20 years old; Senior 21+ based on the athlete’s age as of December 31, 2025.
    • Skills: Previous ski racing experience and a valid US Ski and Snowboard Competition license required. For questions about skill levels, contact the Alpine Program Director.
    • Program Dates:
      Tuesday through Friday 1:00-4:00 PM; Saturday and Sunday AM or PM Half-Days; November 28, 2025 – April 12, 2026 
    • Locations: Training will primarily take place at Copper Mountain, with additional short blocks at Keystone and Breckenridge.
    • Competitions: U16 athletes compete in the Sync Series (USSS/RMD sanctioned). FIS athletes compete in the Surefoot Colorado Ski Cup Series and may qualify for FISU, Nor-Am, and Championship events. Ability athletes can compete in all disciplines, including Super G and Downhill, but it’s not mandatory. Race and sign-up details are updated on the Ability Team Calendar in Demosphere. Team travel is available for out-of-division events, with coaches’ travel expenses included in competition travel billing.
    • Program Fees:
      • $5,595.00
      • + $400 Volunteer Service Fee.

    PART-TIME ADD-ON

    U10, U12, U14, U16, FIS

    Athletes may supplement their primary training program with the Part-Time Add-On Program. Athletes ski with their age group (Jan-April) for up to 20 days. Athletes integrate with full-time academy athletes and coaches. Perfect for adding to part-time programs, middle/high school racing, or home programs.

    Requirements:

    • Age Categories: U10: 8-9 years old, U12: 10-11 years old, U14: 12-13 years old, U16: 14-15 years old, U18: 16-17 years old, U21: 18-20 years old, Senior 21+ based on the athlete’s age as of December 31, 2025.
    • Skills: Athletes should have prior ski racing experience and a US Ski and Snowboard Competition license. For questions about skill levels, contact the Alpine Program Director.
    • Program Calendar: Jan 1, 2026 to April 12, 2026
    • Training Locations: From January 1 to April 15, training is primarily at Copper Mountain Resort, with short blocks scheduled at Keystone and Breckenridge.
    • Competitions: Athletes may attend competitions with Team Summit when qualified. These US Ski and Snowboard/Rocky Mountain Division (USSS/RMD) sanctioned events are held at various resorts. Competitors must have a valid USSS Alpine Competitor License. Age-class and Ability athletes travel independently and cover their own expenses. Team travel may be available for out-of-division Ability (Ski-Up U14/U16/FIS) athletes, with coaches’ travel expenses shared among all attendees.
    • Program Fees:
      • $2,025.00
      • + $400 Volunteer Service Fee.
    • Season Pass: Athletes must have their own season passes or lift tickets.

      FULL-TIME PROGRAMS

      ACADEMY AND POST-GRADUATE

      U12, U14, U16, FIS

      The Full-Time Programs encompass the Age Class U12/U14 Academy, U16 Academy, FIS Academy, and Post-Graduate (PG) Programs. Students collaborate with Academic Partners to create schedules that accommodate afternoon training and competition attendance. These programs include intensive pre-season conditioning and up to six days of on-snow training weekly, aimed at athletes striving to reach their highest potential in skiing and racing while developing skills for success in all areas of life.


      U10, U12, U14

        Requirements:

        • Age Categories: High School Graduates 18 years and older; U21: 18-20 years old; Senior: 21+. Age Categories: U21 and Senior based on the athlete’s age as of December 31, 2025.
        • Skills: Athletes must have extensive previous USS and FIS ski racing experience, a FIS License, and a US Ski and Snowboard Competition license. The Post-Graduate (PG) Program requires an application and interview prior to enrollment. Please contact the Alpine Program Director
        • Program Dates:
          Tuesday through Friday 1:00-4:00 PM; Saturday and Sunday AM or PM Half-Days; October 24, 2025 – April 12, 2026 *Weather and Snow Conditions Permitting
        • Locations: Training will primarily take place at Copper Mountain, with additional short blocks at Keystone and Breckenridge.
        • Competitions: PG athletes will compete in the Surefoot Colorado Ski Cup Series and, when qualified, in FISU, Nor-Am, Championship, and other travel events.
