Nordic Update | 2/1/2023

A week with not much racing at home. The older athletes are getting ready for next weekend's RMISA and RMN races in Steamboat.

At the junior world championships, we had Nina Schamberger racing and did a great start to the championships.

Vail Daily ran a pretty big article about the races:

https://www.vaildaily.com/news/cloud-city-sensations-leadville-locals-nina-schamberger-and-rose-horning-are-set-to-compete-at-the-fis-nordic-junior-world-ski-championships/

In her first race of the championships, Nina skied to 19th place which was second American. This was the classic sprint which historically has been her weakest discipline, but with hard work and focus the last year she has brought that one up to international standard as well.

Now we are looking forward to the 10k individual start on Thursday and potentially the relay on Saturday (the team will be selected on Friday).

Here are the results:  https://www.fis-ski.com/DB/general/results.html?sectorcode=CC&raceid=43353

Best,

Olof
