This season’s Silent Partner was not so silent. Through the support of General Manager Dustin Lyman and parent company Powdr Corp, Copper Mountain spent the summer of 2019 investing in the infrastructure to create a World Class Alpine and Mogul training venue. In one season this venue has become a game-changer for Team Summit. In both Alpine and Mogul training, it is critical to have permanent access to a training venue where you can control the surface and build terrain specific to the athlete’s needs. The OreDeal venue at Copper Mountain meets those needs and has allowed our Alpine and Mogul teams unprecedented access and quality in their training venue.

In just his 2nd season as General Manager of Copper Mountain, Dustin Lyman has fully embraced Team Summit, our athletes and our families. Through his support not only did the OreDeal venue become a reality, but Copper also was willing to maintain a modified banked slalom course through the season, providing a first-ever, season-long, training opportunity for our Ski Cross and Boardercross athletes.
