Today was the first race at US Nationals in Houghton Michigan. 

Team Summit had 3 athletes represented.

Nina Schamberger - 9th (7th American)

Kai Oppito - 203

Roan Varble - 222

What is outstanding is that Nina was the #1 junior in the country (Not first U18 - but first U20/U18). This has (as far as I know) never happened in the history of SNSC. 

This is truly a first for us. (Normally college juniors take these spots and it is extremely unusual that a HS aged skier takes it - I'm actually not sure if it has happened over the last decade when I have been coaching).
