Summit County, Colorado - Team Summit is excited to welcome Leah Emaus as the Ski Cross Head Coach. Leah was a member of the USA Ski Cross Team and competed in NorAm, Europa Cup, Grand Prix, and World Cups.

Leah is a two-time US National Champion and found the podium worldwide, including a World Cup win at Tabor Mountain, BC Canada.

Throughout her sports career, Leah has competed in Moguls, Aerials, SlopeStyle, and Half Pipe. Leah was also a member of the four-time BIG XII Conference Champions at West Virginia University in Soccer.

Leah also competed in her first Ironman in August of 2019 at Mont Tremblant, CAN, and finished 12th overall! After the triathlon, she started to compete in USA Cycling road races and ended last season with an overall win at the 2019 Steamboat Stage Race.

With an experienced competitor like Leah, partnered with Team Summit’s four resort partners, Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, and Keystone, Team Summit is poised to become a world leader in Ski Cross race training.

“Team Summit has been searching for a Ski Cross coach for several seasons and has been unable to find the right fit. Leah not only meets but exceeds our expectations. Leah's background as a World Cup Ski Cross athlete, elite-level experience in other sports, and positive energy make her the perfect coach to lead our growing Ski Cross team.” CB Bechtel, Team Summit Executive Director.

“I am very excited to be a part of the Team Summit coaching staff this season and be given the opportunity to share my enthusiasm and passion for skiing with the athletes in the community. With new goals in mind, I look forward to working with all the skiers to improve their skills and have fun while doing it!” - Leah Emaus Head Ski Cross Coach.

Leah begins immediately leading Team Summit’s Ski Cross Program. For more information, please visit www.teamsummit.org
